One Stop Poetry:OSW 43

Moon madness

Tonight I drove into the moon;
her magic drew me with such power
just hanging there in blackened bower,
I felt the madness all too soon.
I sang a melancholic tune
afraid she’d make me want to cower
the night I drove into the moon.
Her magic drew me with such power;
she tempted me to dip the spoon
of pleasure in this golden hour,
in bouquet bowl of night time flower.
Bewitched, I feasted like a loon
the night I drove into the moon.

    Nice melodic strains throughout your poem.

    I like this…and was so pleased to see it at One Stop Poetry. My favourite lines
    ‘her magic drew me with such power
    just hanging there in blackened bower,’
    I remember this magical moon and you have captured her well.
